I met this fabulous couple at a beach house right on the boardwalk in Bethany Beach, Delaware. This would be my first opportunity to shoot engagement photos in Bethany Beach so we trekked around the bustling beach resort town catching all the sights, smells and experiences one enjoys while on vacation. My favorite spot we stopped at was actually under the boardwalk. It was an opportunity for Elizabeth andKrzysztof to get out of the limelight and just focus on each other for a moment. What beach engagement shoot wouldn’t be complete without a little stroll along the beach and crashing waves at their feet from the Atlantic Ocean. I am very much looking forward to your Maryland Wedding. Congrats to you both!

The lovely couple and I decided to meet on the boardwalk in front of the Henlopen Hotel which is known for the famous Salero Restaurante. Wouldn’t it figure as soon as we rounded the corner of the hotel we were met by big construction fences and a boardwalk that was under renovation. Feeling a little on the risky side, Elizabeth, Tommy and I ventured out onto the partially constructed boardwalk and snapped a few photos for the heck of it. What engagement shoot at the beach wouldn’t be complete without a few portraits with their feet in the sand and we wrapped up at a nearby park where Elizabeth even got Tommy to pose with a few props she brought along for the occasion. Elizabeth and Tommy are planning a mid summer wedding at Baywood Greens Golf and Country Club in Long Neck Delaware. Best to you both!

Ocean City is one of my favorite places to shoot engagement photos or wedding photos for that matter, I mean who wouldn’t love shooting at the beach right? Every time I’m at this location I always try and shoot it differently and that’s exactly what happened with this awesome couple. Our original plan was to shoot the day before but mother nature didn’t allow it so we dropped back and punted for the very next morning. While there was no rain in sight, the wind off the ocean was incredible. Nevertheless Meredith and Jeff were troopers and we stomped all over the downtown area and wrapped up at this little gem of a location on the bayside in midtown Ocean City. I am definitely looking forward to my first beach wedding of the season and my first wedding ceremony at Assateague Island National Seashore in Berlin, Maryland. I always get excited shooting engagement photos because it’s usually the first time I get an opportunity to work with my clients. Since it’s unlikely that most people have ever worked with a professional photographer, it’s natural they might feel a bit nervous about having their photograph taken in a public setting. Since the wedding day is not the best time to realize those additional pressures, working with me to capture engagement photographs allows them to become more comfortable in front of the camera (and in front of other people). This experience also gives us time to establish a personal relationship. During this engagement session we all have a great time and you will be able to get to know me better both personally and professionally. Jocelyn and Mike were no exception to the rule. From bumper cars at Trimper’s Rides and Amusement Park to trying on funky sunglasses we had a lot of fun walking all around the beach and Boardwalk in Ocean City. It’s couples like this when I realize this is why I do this job…. Documenting life stories and sharing them with their family and the world. Jocelyn and Mike’s wedding in Crisfield, Maryland is sure to be a blast!

I’ve actually known Jimmy for years through our mutual affiliation with the Ocean City Fire Department. We did the tourist thing and took a stroll down the boardwalk, stopped into Ripley’s Believe it or Not, took some photos under the Ocean City Fishing Pier and even wrapped it up with a little ice cream from Dumsers Dairyland. Their fall wedding in Ocean City will surely be a blast!

Taylor and Emily were looking for some senior portraits as they were entering their senior year at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware. We met up in Ocean City, Maryland and shot on the beach, boardwalk and under the fishing pier. The weather was great, the photos were great and we had a blast all afternoon.
