SARAH + LUKE // ENGAGEMENT

It’s not often you get the opportunity to work for your peers let alone your competition. Needless to say I was excited and nervous about shooting Sarah and Luke’s engagement session in Ocean City, Maryland. You see Sarah and Luke are both firefighters in Bethany Beach, Delaware and I’m a firefighter in Ocean City, Maryland. Our departments work and train together often so I’ve seen this couple getting down and dirty… on the fire ground that is. So the competition…. Sarah is also a photographer here on the Eastern Shore. I think we picked one of the hottest days of the summer to shoot their engagement photographs, it had to be at least 100 degrees. You would think living here at the beach you would get used to the temperature… not so much. We met at Northside Park in Ocean City and actually stumbled upon an Art show taking place in the park. While we fought the heat we certainly grabbed some amazing shots that definitely brought out the personality in this couple. Their wedding at Baywood Greens in Long Neck, Delaware this fall is certain to be one to remember. Cheers to you both!

MEAGAN + PAUL // WEDDING

My first wedding of the 2010 season second shooting for the lovely and talented Dana Duncan of none other than the famous Dana Duncan Photography took place at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia. It was just a short trip down the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia for me from Salisbury, Maryland and a gorgeous day for a drive at that. Meagan and Paul were an absolute blast to work with. I can’t recall seeing Meagan or Paul sitting down for more than 10 minutes to eat. The rest of their time was spent running around like ninjas enjoying their friends, family and of course a whole lot of dancing. I spent a little time playing with my Flip Mino HD portable video recorder while driving to the wedding. I think this short video makes a great addition to the still photos below… Enjoy!

APRIL AND MIKE’S WEDDING ~ SNOW HILL

April and Mike were married in Snow Hill at the Whatcoat United Methodist Church. The weather on the Eastern Shore was absolutely beautiful for a few pre-wedding ceremony photos at the Nassawango Golf Course. We absolutely love having the bride and groom meet before the wedding to get their formal photos done so there is a minimal delay between the ceremony and reception. The reception was held at the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company where Mike is a member and firefighter.

JENNIFER LIZ PORTRAITS ~ SALISBURY

I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with Jennifer Liz in downtown Salisbury, Maryland this evening. Modeling photography is one of my side projects that allows me to practice working with my camera, lighting and all aspects of posing subjects. This “practice” only improves my overall photography, after all “practice” makes perfect… Besides it was a beautiful evening on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and I didn’t have a wedding scheduled.
